One of the customers for whom we implemented the SAP solution needed to exchange information using APIs, between their internal systems and an external system for further processing. And, then the processed information at the external application end needed to be received back and updated in their internal application. However, at the customer's internal end, the source of information was disparate, coming into different formats with redundancy and multiple other issues. So, before it could be sent to the external application, it required aggregation of all datasets, extracting required information, routing it as per the business logic, changing the data format, and then loading it into the API. It also required a dashboard, offline operations, automation of information exchange, etc. like features that we delivered using SAP PI integration and other SAP functionalities.
